Go Myles! Ha, this made me chuckle, but it made me think too. Maybe we are strongest when we know exactly what we want.

I wrote this with you in mind. I was trying to capture the snap🫰🏾! I agree!

Ha. This is definitely a snap!

What a joy it is reading these missives .

My best suggestion reacting to your little guy’s wondrous strength? Based on hard-earned experience, it is to expect to go through several pairs of eyeglasses (they don’t care how much they cost). They do not respect designer frames.

Good thing I don’t wear glasses. Now that I think about it, this makes sense why my wife never wears her glasses anymore!

Take. Me. To. The. Milk.

My youngest is 3 now—long time since I breastfed. But I will say that at some point, he wanted to breastfeed AND pay attention to all that was happening around him. So he would latch and then turn his head around, expecting the nipple to stretch with him. That was painful.

And when they bite and then smiles, but never un-latch as a form of teasing, omg the horror!

Ouch?

I’ve seen this live. It looks cute, but I see how painful it is. My wife is considering going to formula. She says she thinks he’ll be the kind of kid to just walk up to her while we are in public and just start undressing her for the boob.

This was hilarious! For the first year or so, my little girl would never allow me to hold her to my chest, as I think she knew all too well that the milk was sleeping in bed, or making dinner, or just sitting on the back porch with a cup of tea in blessed silence. She would demand that I hold her facing out, and continuously walk, and by god, if I ever dared to sit down for just a second, all hell would break loose. I swear, my wife didn’t sit down with the baby for at least two years, because if the baby was up, she wanted us to be up, literally, as she had places to be and things to see!

I learned quickly the babies call all the shots. I have a friend that refers to her baby as mini overlord. I call Myles the landlord. I don’t run anything here!

C. crawled to one of our dogs water bowl and slapped the water. I told her, "Now now. Let's not do that. She stopped. Smiled. Then hit the water again. Another time she kept locking the car door when I tried to get her out. It was before we had a car with automatic locks.

The kids knew what they are doing. I’m curious to see what mischief he’ll get into!

Hahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! This is hysterical. The babies - they knowwwwwwwwwwwww!!!

I will share an example of my baby from before he was born - my older one is built like my husband, tall and broad shouldered, and he took up every last millimeter of my womb in my little 5 foot 4 frame during his last 2 months in utero.

I was so uncomfortable that I would feel a foot pressing up against my ribs and sometimes, especially after a meal, I would poke him back a bit to try to make some room for my lungs. My husband, aghast, would say, "don't push the baby!! You'll hurt him."

Marc, the GLARES I would give him. You try carrying this little boo that presses against every muscle, skeletal structure and organ inside you.

Haha! How much did he weigh?!?

Not a crazy amount - 7 pounds 14 ounces I think. But he was long and sturdy lol. He's my height and weight now and he's 13

Skin to skin is amazing especially when babies are ill.

Off guard?

Who do you love most? Me (child) or _____?when your kid asks you that… well they mean business.

Why are babies so strong?

To survive?

Does skin to skin still work past the first couple of months?

Absolutely! Even teenagers. By that I mean hugs. They don’t frequently enter the timeline though.

What's your go-to strategy for soothing a fussy baby in the middle of the night?

Give them what they want! Milk, co sleep or clean nappy. It never fails to work. Unless they’re ill and just miserable due to that.

We are already 3 weeks into the new year, how are you holing up?

Pass! Hahahaha

Last question: What’s your reason for not reading this?

Yes! I'm hoping lots and lots of people read this part in particular: "Son, please be gentle to the boobs." It is a strange thing being the only food source to young humans. Wonderful and also a bit bovine.
