Both audios were beautiful. The sweetness of your attention shifting to your son very tender. Your view in the morning piece was especially felt, the love of a mother with her baby. It took me back to early dawns with mine.

Glad it resonated with you. I really love voice notes - I have all many in my phone of just random things!

Shoutouts to Wifey for the gem of not treating the relationship as if you’ve arrived🔥.

I loved the audio and periodically use voice notes.

My church village continues to see things in me that I either don’t see, don’t want to see or don’t want to act on and they speak truth to power in my life.

Write however is conducive to you. Every week I’m going to read it regardless if it’s one line or one page.

I am mostly a day person and I can be a night person if I’ve taken a nap before going out. I’m only a morning person when I need to catch a flight and even then I’m going to sleep soon as I get my seat 😅

Sunday, I posted a clip from the 360 booth and the comment I received in my DM was “you look so happy” and that made my heart sing because I haven’t felt pure happiness in about 2 weeks so for it to come through that clearly from that made me feel good. You look so happy is now a top tier compliment.

Thanks for being a faithful reader - I promise to always write at least two lines.

It’s such a good feeling to be seen by others. I try not to depend on it too much- but it’s a good pick me up.

I’m definitely a morning person- I’m trying to pass this on to Myles - mom is the total opposite.

Aloha🌺I really love the idea of expressing love for wife and child through creative writing. I also really loved the audio of daddy being soothing to the gurgles and baby sounds. What a lucky little guy to have such a loving and doting papa. 💜Thank you for sharing beautiful stories about those that you love so much. We sure need these kind of love stories to share and warm our hearts. You are in the company of other devoted daddys who love their wifees and young ones right here on substack. And i’m sure that devoted wifees here appreciate reading prose from a family man writing story about his loves. Mahalo so much

Joanne, thank you. I must say, I found some community with other daddies here. It’s helped so much. Substack really helps me feel a little less crazy and a little less alone. Again, thank you for subscribing, sharing, and engaging. It helps knowing that these words are landing for people. I can’t wait till he gets to experience them for himself.

A lovely a piece celebrating your wife’s wisdom.

And — having just come across your substack for the first time — I think the intention behind your newsletter is also lovely.

Brilliant! The sound, the video, and your wife. May we all learn not to treat the relationships most important to us as if we've arrived. So glad you shared this.

I found you and your lead paragraph made me smile. I just want to say learning about your love for your family is so wonderful. You are on the path to a long successful marriage and to spoiling grandkids.

I’m 70 and widowed for several years. I have felt so loved and still do for the 48 years we were together. Now I know that there are other people who are also blessed with the “take your breathe away” kind of love like my husband and I had.

Never stop holding hands. Sometimes you’re too tired for sex but that touch of a hand can be just as intimate.

Enjoy your lovely baby because before you know it, he will be 48 with kids of his own. I loved being a parent. It’s a miracle that has no equal. Now I have twin 18 year old grandsons that are the joy of my life. I didn’t know that it’s even better than parenting (just don’t tell my son).

I just wanted to soak up the boundless joy in this post. May you have 48 years (at least)together

P.S. I love the sound of babies. Myles is lucky to have the you as patents.
